Customer feedback can, and does, have an impact on product design and this sometimes means we need to make changes based on what you are telling us.
As of April 1, 2012, our Modeler’s Took Kit (p/n TK2100) will contain our Model 440 High Precision Scissors in place of the Model SS-6 Utility Scissors.
The reason for the change is simple, you told us you wanted a kit with 100% made in USA (by Xuron Corp) parts. The SS-6 Scissor, while a great utility scissor, is not made by Xuron Corp, and truthfully, the Model 440 is really a better choice for this kit as it can be used to cut photo-etch parts as decals and other thin, soft materials.
Of course, the Model SS-6 Scissor is still available and can be purchased as single, separate item.
