Making the Most of Your Xuron® Tools
I am the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Xuron Corporation. I've had the pleasure of working here for 25 years and one of my favorite parts of the job is meeting Xuron® tool users and hearing the feedback about the products we make.
Metal Earth® makes very detailed 3D etched models that are assembled using a few tools and nothing else. One of our manufacturing staff, Tony Bonti, is an avid model builder (and a member of the Southern Maine Scale Modelers) and has recently been testing a few Xuron® tools while building these models.
In the jewelry world, Xuron® tools are known for their orange handles. There are two tools in particular, the 410 Micro-Shear Flush Cutter® and the 2175 Maxi-Shear™ Flush Cutter. These two have been in the jeweler’s tool box for some time now and are highly regarded.
If you are a fisherman, saltwater or fresh, you have used split rings to join lures to a hook. Pretty simple concept, however opening the rings can be a challenge. Xuron’s Model 496 Split Ring Pliers offer a fast and convenient option (as opposed to using your fingernail or a thin knife).
Xuron Corporation’s legacy tool series, the Model 170-II Micro-Shear® Flush Cutters, have been used in industry for over 40 years. In 2014 we introduced our Model 441 Thread & Cord Scissors. The concept for this tool came from being at trade events and interacting with bead weavers and jewelry makers who wanted a small (hand-friendly) scissors that would hold up to Fireline® and other high strength (and hard to cut) threads used for bead weaving.
