What do bead weavers and fishermen have in common? – Fireline®

Xuron® Model 9180

Exhibiting at the Bead & Button Show was an eye opening experience in so many ways.  Not the least of which was learning what kinds of challenges face beader weavers when trying to cut Fireline®.  Fireline® is a braided, high strength fiber  and if you’ve ever tried to cut it you will understand the frustration — it looks innocent enough, but it is abrasive and will dull the edges of a traditional scissor in no time.

Since Fireline® is primarily used by fisherman, it is reasonalbe to expect that they, too, have ruined scissors, fishing nippers and maybe even teeth trying to cut the stuff.

To the rescue — Xuron®’s Fireline® Scissor was developed and designed to cut the Kevlar® fiber portion of fiber optic cables and it is a natural solution for Fireline®.   It cuts through it like butter, leaving clean, crisp ends.  This tool is a dream come true for beaders and fishermen — two unlikely groups with a common frustration that can now be turned to joy.

Are you using Fireline®?
