Resources for Model Hobbyists

Model Railroad Layout

As a model hobbyist where do you go when you need to know how to apply a decal, the best way to install a DCC system for your model train set or how to keep your model plane from crashing (that one’s for my Dad)?

Of course, your local hobby shop is the first natural choice but you should also look to your local IPMS, NMRA or AMA club for guidance, support and camaraderie.

I’ve been fortunate to have met many members of our local IPMS chapter (and one is now a Xuron Corp employee), and can attest to how supportive these people are to other members of the model building community.

So, the next time you need a little guidance, or maybe even some motivation to finish a project, check out one of these great groups:

IPMS (International Plastic Modeler’s Society)

NMRA (National Model Railroad Association)

AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics)

Please feel free to share with us your favorite “go-to” place (or person) you turn to when you need a little inspiration or assistance.

I am the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Xuron Corporation. I've had the pleasure of working here for 25 years and one of my favorite parts of the job is meeting Xuron® tool users and hearing the feedback about the products we make.
